In October 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, and where collaborative work tools had proven more necessary than ever for the new work mode imposed by COVID, Google launched Workspace, a new space that replaced G Suite integrating Gmail, Calendar and Meet in one place. Today, Google announced that Google Workspace is available to everyone, that is, to all users of its services.
Thus, from being a service for the millions of companies that pay for the suite, Workspace becomes in the hands of more than 3,000 million people, according to Google itself.

Google Workspace is doing much more from one place
Google Workspace reaches the basic Gmail accounts, and to activate it, the only thing necessary is to activate Google Chat in the settings of our Google account. This is how the company itself explains it:
Open Gmail on your computer.
In the top right, click Settings and then View all settings.
At the top, click Chat and Meet.
To enable or disable Chat in Gmail, select Google Chat or Disabled next to "Chat."
Click Save changes.
From now on we can, for example, plan trips or expenses much better with our friends and family, without having to jump from application to application.
Thanks to Google's suggestions, Workspace will allow us to easily add attachments or documents that may be relevant to the topic at hand. In addition, now people do not need to add them by mail, but in a more organic way they can be mentioned in Gmail with @.
Six very simple tricks to improve the results you get from your Google searches
Later, The Rooms or Salas, which is where we can connect with friends and collaborators, will mutate into Spaces, which will have an interface that according to Google will facilitate the work more, thanks to a better context granted with conversations with threads, presence indicators, reactions, etc.
Everything we already see in applications like Slack, but in our Gmail account. But Google plays with the trick that if we use Meet for video calls, now presenting a document we are working on will only require one click.
