The new 'News and Interests' widget is now available on Windows Update for all Windows 10 users




After having members of the Insider program test this new functionality for a while, Microsoft has decided to put available to all users the new widget 'News and interests' it has been developing.



To install it, we will only have to install the optional updatel KB5001391 available on Windows Update, or download and install it manually from Windows Update Catalog. Of course, we will only have the option to install it if we have the 2004 or 20H2 versions of Windows 10.



According to the description of the update prepared by Microsoft, with the appearance of 'News and Interests' in our taskbar, we obtain




"Quick access to an integrated source of dynamic content, such as news, weather, sports and much more, that is updated throughout the day."




Another novelty of this update is that the changes carried out by Microsoft have allowed solve the very high memory consumption that showed the first versions for 'insiders' of this functionality.



How to customize and disable



After installing this latest update, you will be able to check how an icon appears on your taskbar, next to the notification area, showing information about the weather in your location. By clicking on it, A feed will be displayed showing current information (from various media), as well as financial, weather and traffic information.
