The war of smart watches has won a new contender with OnePlus, another of the mobile brands that enters the field of 'wearable' devices or wearables. The OnePlus Watch is his first wrist device, a smartwatch that we have already been able to analyze. And very soon it will hit store shelves: its pre-sale begins on April 14 in Spain.
Mobile technology is increasingly distant from the telephone since the ecosystem that makes it up has diversified. TWS headphones, Bluetooth speakers, activity wristbands and of course also smart watches, a product segment that is embracing most brands. Even OnePlus, which, after years of rumors, ended up presenting its own proposal. Now that OnePlus Watch leads the way to the wrists of the Spanish.
A great smartwatch at a sufficiently contained price
The OnePlus Watch is the brand's first proposal in the field of smart watches. Surely it is not the only one, although everything will depend on how OnePlus fans receive this device. And there are not too many reasons to avoid it, that even the price is sufficiently contained; without it being cheap, of course.
The OnePlus Watch offers a round face with AMOLED screen and metal frame with a 1.39-inch diagonal panel and 454 x 454 pixels of resolution. It lacks Wear OS since OnePlus has decided on its own operating system that see their smartwatch capabilities diminished. It does not include installation of apps or mobile payments, for example; yes GPS, sports and activity tracking, offers heart rate measurement and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) recording. Y can answer calls, also messages; always with predefined responses that can be configured on the phone.
The OnePlus Watch will begin its pre-sale period tomorrow, Wednesday, April 14. This period will be in force until the day it is put into circulation, next November 30. The cost of the OnePlus Watch is 159 euros in two colors: black (moonlight black) and silver (moonlight silver).
