Google has made with your application Messages a movement that until now we had not seen: adapt the interface of one of its applications to the customization layer of a manufacturer.
The application Google Messages It has begun to be updated in the new Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra, adapting the Samsung One UI interface and being more integrated as a system application.
Google Messages with Samsung One UI
The reason for this novelty is that in some markets, in the new Samsung Galaxy S21 the application of Google Messages and not that of Samsung Messages following an agreement between both companies.
As now the Google Messages application comes from the factory in some Samsung Galaxy, as the company adopted a interface very similar to that of the Samsung messages application.
Now the Google Messages application for the Samsung Galaxy S21 has divided its home screen into two parts. Now at the top we have an information area that shows the name of the application and the number of unread messages. At the bottom there is the sliding panel that allows us to search or open the conversations.
For now this new interface is only being activated in all Samsung Galaxy S21 Stepwise. With this interface change, the Google application now offers a similar design to the interface of the Samsung call application.
It is unknown if Google will launch the new interface to all Samsung Galaxy in the future, or if they will adapt the interface to other layers of customization in those manufacturers where their message application also comes standard as in the Xiaomi.
