lands later on 5G, but sells more than anyone

These are all old Samsung phones that will continue to receive security updates

Samsung Galaxy terminals will receive security patches monthly, quarterly or biannually depending on their range.

The Korean manufacturer announced a few weeks ago that its terminals, launched from 2019, will receive security updates for 4 years.

And now it has been Samsung itself who has confirmed the calendar of the security patches of its smartphones, which will be divided into three types of periodicity according to the range of the terminal: monthly, quarterly and biannually.

Thus, high-end Korean brand phones, such as the Galaxy S21 or the Galaxy Fold, and business models, such as the recently introduced Galaxy XCover5, will receive monthly security patches, the mid-range terminals and the oldest flagship they will receive them quarterly and, finally, devices in their fourth year of life they will receive these updates biannually (two security patches per year).

So that you can check if your old Samsung smartphone will continue to receive security updates, we will detail each and every one of the mobiles that will receive these patches monthly, quarterly and biannually.
