Spotify for PC is updated with a totally new interface and now allows you to download music

The Spotify app for computers and its web version have been completely renewed. These are the news.

If you use Spotify on your computer or tablet, either from the PC version of the application, or through the web version of Spotify, you are about to run into a completely revamped interface, which introduces a large number of changes to the music platform in streaming.

Almost a year has passed since the last major update to the Spotify app interface, which at that time mainly affected the mobile version. Now, the desktop version has undergone a redesign which, in addition, adds functions such as the possibility of download songs.

As soon as we open the Spotify application after having installed the latest version available, we will see that the interface is now much more similar to that of the mobile version of the application, with larger elements, a simpler sidebar, and new filters that allow us to order our music library in a simpler way.

Those users more hardcore Spotify will also be able to enjoy new tools in your playlists, ranging from the possibility of add images or descriptions to these lists, up to the option of drag songs to a playlist to add them, or do it through the new search widget included.

But the main novelty that comes with this update is the option to download music to computer. Spotify has enabled one of the most useful functions of the mobile app in its desktop version, giving the possibility of download full songs, playlists or albums, which can be played later, even without the need for an Internet connection. This function is exclusive to users Premium from Spotify.

To that must be added that, once the service Spotify HiFi is available, the audio can be reproduced in a much higher quality without having to keep the computer connected to the Internet.

The changes in the Spotify app will reach all users of the application over the next few days. It is very likely that a gradual rollout is taking place, so not all users of the platform will receive the news at the same time.
