Honor V40: specifications, availability and price

After its separation from Huawei and as we already told you, the year 2021 looks ambitious for Honor since it has to sell 100 million mobile phones, although we do not know if it refers only to China or the global market as a whole.

The first Honor terminal as an independent brand will be the Honor V40, a mid-range-premium terminal of which Information has been leaking in recent weeks both about its specifications and about its availability and price.

Features and Specifications

As they have in Gizmochina, many of the specifications of the Honor V40 have already been leaked before its official presentation.

Regarding the design, this Honor V40 has a front dominated by a large screen with curved edges and a hole in the screen where its two front cameras are housed and a rear part where its four-camera module located in the upper left corner of the terminal stands out.

Regarding the technical characteristics of the screen, this terminal has a 6.72-inch OLED panel with a FullHD + resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an on-screen fingerprint sensor.

The great novelty in this section is that we find One billion color super sensitive retina display and 50 MP super sensitive lens array for camera setup, which will provide better color reproduction.

The engine of this Honor V40 is none other than the Mediatek Dimensity 1000+, an eight-core processor that is compatible with the new 5G mobile networks and that as they have in Gizchina it has been seen on Geekbench with the Honor YOK-AN10 model obtaining scores of 468 points in the single-core tests and 2061 in the multi-core tests.

Likewise, this terminal has also recently gone through Rheinland's Safe Fast Charge Certification and according to them this Honor V40 will include a 50W wireless fast charge.

As far as its memory is concerned, this Honor V40 has a single version of 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and two versions of UFS 2.1 internal storage of 128 and 256 GB expandable via microSD cards.

Another outstanding aspect of this terminal is its photographic section since it has a 4 rear camera module composed of a 64 megapixel main sensor(although there are rumors that finally the manufacturer could bet on a 50 megapixel sensor, specifically the Sony MX766), an 8 megapixel ultra-wide secondary sensor, a third 2 megapixel macro sensor and a fourth 2 megapixel depth sensor.

As for the double front camera we find two 32 and 16 megapixel sensors respectively to make our selfies and video calls.

At the level of autonomy, this Honor V40 has a 4,000 mAh battery with 66W wired fast charge and 55W wireless fast charge.

Honor also has its own customization layer called Magic UI and this terminal has Magic UI 4.0 running under Android 10.

Availability and price

As they tell us from HuaweiCentral Honor has already confirmed the date of the official presentation of this Honor V40 with a promotional poster with the date of January 18.

The data that has not yet been leaked is related to its price and the possibility that three versions will go on sale: Honor V40, Honor V40 Pro and Honor V40 Pro + but for all this it is likely that we will have to wait until the day of his presentation.
