A design where curves - and cameras - are the protagonists

The front of these two terminals is not very different from other recent models of the brand, such as the Huawei Mate 40 Pro. In both cases we find a large OLED screen with sharp curves on its sides *, the interior of which hides an ** optical fingerprint reader.

In this case, yes, Huawei opts for a single hole in the top center of the Nova 8, and a double one, located in the upper left corner on the model Pro. In both cases the panel resolution is Full HD +, and the most noticeable difference lies in the size, greater in the Nova 8 Pro, going from 6.57 to 6.72 with respect to its smaller brother.

The back of both terminals has a great protagonist: the module that houses the cameras.

This one has a oval format and it is arranged vertically. Inside, the main sensor, 64 megapixels in both cases, occupies a considerable area and, in the case of the Nova 8 Pro, it is one of the largest camera modules we have seen to date on a mobile.

Said sensor is accompanied, in both cases, by a Ultra Wide Angle secondary camera, and two sensors macro and deep 2 megapixels each.

Of course, the rear it is built in glass, and arrives in several different colors, including some shades with gradient finish most striking.

High-end power and EMUI 11 under the hood

Huawei Nova 8 Pro

The front and back of the Huawei Nova 8 Pro.

Both the Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro mount the Kirin 985 7 nanometer processor, the same one that was already present in the interior of the Nova 7 presented in the middle of the year, and the Honor 30 and 30 Pro. Both chips also arrive with a integrated 5G modem that allows them to connect to the latest technology networks available.

There are also no differences in terms of memory configurations, since both terminals have 8 GB of RAM, and they are available with 128 or 256 GB of storage.

As for its batteries, we talk about capacities of 3,800 and 4,000 mAh for the Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro respectively, in both cases with support for fast charging.

And how could it be otherwise, EMUI 11 is the delivery of Huawei's software that gives life to devices, yes, based on Android 10.
